Girl Dad Bourbon was created with a simple belief, that raising daughters is one of life's greatest responsibilities, and one of its greatest rewards.

This idea came about when founder Clifford Walsh found out he was having a daughter. While on paternity leave — between watching her all day, late-night feedings, and downtime — the idea took shape. A bourbon that celebrates the fathers raising the next generation of strong, confident women.

The cocktail that started it all. A timeless classic built around the bold character of Girl Dad Bourbon — simple, strong, and unforgettable.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Girl Dad Bourbon
  • 1 barspoon Rich demerara syrup(2:1 ratio)
  • 2-3 Dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 Dash orange bitters
  • 1 Orange peel(expressed)
  • 1 Luxardo cherry(garnish)

Method

  1. 1Add the demerara syrup and both bitters to a mixing glass.
  2. 2Add Girl Dad Bourbon and fill with ice.
  3. 3Stir for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted.
  4. 4Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
  5. 5Express the orange peel over the surface, then drop it in.
  6. 6Garnish with a Luxardo cherry. Sip slowly.
